Service-learning trips with NOROC offer an extraordinary opportunity to engage in meaningful work while learning about Romania’s rich culture and history. Designed for various age groups and interests, these trips are tailored to provide participants with experiences that combine service, education, and cultural immersion.
Participants have the chance to make a lasting impact in the lives of at-risk children and families in Tulcea County. Whether it's running day camps, building playgrounds, or engaging in direct interactions with children raised in the state system, every trip focuses on fostering connection, compassion, and hope. These experiences not only change the lives of those we serve but also deeply impact the lives of the participants.
Young Adult Service-Learning Trip 2025
Are you between 18 and 25 years old and ready to make a difference? Join NOROC for our 2025 Young Adult Service-Learning Trip to Romania!
Dates: July 10–22, 2025
Cost: $2,800 per person (includes accommodations, meals, and activities)

Make a difference this summer and gain memories that will last a lifetime!
- Host two half-day camps and a three-day overnight camp for children from Tulcea County’s child protection system.
- Throw an appreciation and anniversary party for NOROC’s incredible staff and volunteers.
- Learn how to work with interpreters and build cross-cultural connections.
What You’ll See:
- Explore the beautiful Tulcea County.
- Visit iconic sites such as Peles Castle, the Danube Delta, and historic locations in Transylvania.
- Discover Romania’s religious and cultural heritage while building memories with your team.
Important Deadlines:
- Interest Meeting: December 15, 2024, at 12:15 PM via Zoom.
- Registration Due: January 31, 2025. A $500 deposit is required at registration.
- Payment Schedule:
- Half of the remaining balance due by March 15, 2025.
- Final payment due by May 15, 2025.
